Musician and political activist Katey Ocansey has released a new single titled “Mahama y3 Nation Builder” (Mahama is a Nation Builder). The song is a campaign anthem for former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama, who is expected to run for the presidency in the 2024 general election.
The song features catchy lyrics that highlight Mahama’s achievements during his tenure as President from 2012 to 2017. Katey Ocansey sings about Mahama’s infrastructure projects, such as the construction of hospitals, schools, and roads, as well as his social programs.

If Mahama wins the nomination and the subsequent election, he will become the first Ghanaian President to return to office after losing a previous term. The release of the song signals the NDC’s confidence in Mahama’s candidacy and their belief that he can rebuild the nation and win back the presidency.
