Night Of Boxing At North Kaneshie

Safe Box Boxing Promotions owned by Mubarak Yusif Nanor took boxing to North Kaneshie with a delectable event that left patrons clamouring for more on Friday night.

The bill, sanctioned by the Ghana Boxing Authority and financed by the President Abraham Kotei Neequaye featured five exciting bouts, an exhibition and a dance challenge.

Promising Super Featherweight , Africanus Neequaye notched his fourth career win, knocking out Ishmael Okine in three of the scheduled six.

Super Middleweight contender Jibril Mohammed maintained his unbeaten run with a second round stoppage of veteran Ben ” Congo Soldier ” Ankrah.

In another Middleweight attraction, hard-hitting Mawuli Folivi dispatched Enoch Lamptey in three, the latter succumbing after a solid start.

New Light Heavyweight sensation Jon Power dazzled fans with an impressive display against experienced John Dugu. The Chorkor Champions Gym boxer showed blistering hand speed and menacing power, much to the delight of his manager Gordon Frimpong aka Osebor, who was ringside.

Closing the show was a Featherweight clash which saw Emmanuel Otoo engage Isaac Okine in a war. Otoo, now 5 -4-1 unleashed a barrage in the fourth, forcing Okine to retire on his stool before the start of the fifth.

Accompanying the GBA President was former National Athlete and ardent boxing lover Alex Aryeetey aka ” Wezey” .

Judging from the level of zest , enthusiasm and exhilaration from the crowd, another night of slugfest is sure to return to the area soon.
