On the evening of International Women’s Day, all roads will lead to the British Council in Accra as Akuvi Aguedze, a talented young Ghanaian writer, poet, and activist, will be launching her highly anticipated debut book “If My Body Could Scream.”

Akuvi’s book tackles issues of gender inequality, violence against women, and the struggles that women face in society. Through her powerful poetry and thought-provoking prose, she sheds light on the experiences of women and challenges the status quo.

The launch event promises to be a celebration of women’s voices and a platform for important conversations about gender equality. In addition to a reading and signing by Akuvi, there will be performances by other talented artists, panel discussions, and a Q&A session with the author.

“I am thrilled to finally be able to share my book with the world,” says Akuvi. “It has been a labor of love and a way for me to speak out on behalf of women who have been silenced for too long. I hope that my words will inspire others to speak their truth and fight for a more just and equal society.”

The event is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend and show their support for Akuvi and her important work. Copies of “If My Body Could Scream” will be available for purchase at the event.
