I See Every Artiste Supporting The Upcoming Artistes As My Mentor – Esikonkon

It has always been the dream of upcoming artistes to have a strong hand to help navigate his or ways through the Ghanaian music industry. Budding Ghana rapper, Patrick Adotey Obuor, branded Esikonkon has revealed his admiration for established artistes, who have made themselves available to assist upcoming artistes climb the ladder in the music business.

The Gold Coast Lyricist visited the studios of Class FM to promote his latest musical product, Mindset on Class Xtra, hosted by Zeal Nana Kweku Bliss. A beautiful freestyle from the versatile artiste sparked an interesting conversation in the studios with the panelists having some bites of it as well.

Almost all the top Ghanaian artistes, from Stonebwoy to Kuami Eugene, Black Sherif, among others can relate to big artistes putting in enormous amount of effort to get them to this level of their career. They may be talented, but, their talents are not enough and may need assistance from influential artistes to assist them with opportunities to shine. The assistance may be in a form of collaboration, putting them on their events, recommendations or even sharing their works they put on social media.

The descendant of Somanya in the Eastern Region, who represents the people of Ashaiman just like Ghanaian superster, Stonebwoy confirmed the toughness of his journey as an artiste. Nevertheless, he is energized by his target and is absolutely ready to learn pay the price for it. He has been doing music for about a decade, but, he took the music professional career five years ago.

Esikonkon, a thought-provoking Hip Hop artiste with a flair around the Afrobeat zone, in explaining his new project, revealed the fact that everything in this journey of life starts from the mindset. From the mind, it comes out as words, which translates into actions, then, a habit. Mindset is a song that touches the core of listeners and encourages them to act on their responses to the struggles of their lives.

The Ashaiman-based artiste professed his admiration for the likes of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and Nigerian superster, Olamide. These artistes have been very influential over the years and have being involved with a number of upcoming artistes. Although there is a fear of ingratitude on the path of upcoming artistes, these big cats always go out and show love to the growing ones.

The Mindset singer feels he can motivate people with his musical journey. This inspires him to put all his hardship and sorrow into writing. He has worked with the the likes of Ganyo Dread, Tee Rhymes, Nero X, among others great Ghanaian talents and has proven himself ready for the beautiful journey ahead of him.
